God is mighty and wonderful. He raises up people for Himself from the ashes. out of the ashes of destruction He saves for Himself a remnant of faithful sons. when the time is tight, God brings forth those He has chosen. He shows His power and makes His greatness known. He knows all that will happen and plans it. in the mystery of God’s heart He still gives us a choice. He allows us to choose while knowing every thought since the beginning of time. the mystery of God mingles with our lives. every time we gaze into the deep, we see the mystery. He allows us to glimpse Who He Is while showing us only that which is good for us to know. God is wonderful beyond all comprehension.

You allow us to make the mistakes You foreknew. You care about who we grow up to be. You guide us and love us. “You care about our story, and in the end, our story is Your story. we are but dust in the story of the earth. You hide that which is too wonderful for us. still You let us come into That which You have shown us. “You allow us to choose You. You alone give us the grace to choose. You show us what we have not known. You show us what we cannot know on our own. You allow us to choose, yet we have no choice, for who can resist Your will? here is where You display Your lowest thoughts. even Your lowest thoughts are much too high for me.

You eclipse all else. when I think of You, nothing else matters. When I allow myself to look into the depths I see You. when I see You I can think of nothing else. You are All.

You have grace on the ungraceful. You have love for the unloving. You are faithful to the unfaithful. even when Your people have turned their backs to You, You love them. You may plan complete destruction in Your anger, but in You great Love You have compassion on those You love.

You have infinite compassion. You shine Your light into the blackest darkness. You allow people to turn and be healed. You have compassion on many people. You make Yourself known to those who are not Your people, You choose people for Yourself from the least likely places. You love and have compassion. even in Your anger You provide a chance for repentance. You allow those who have never heard of You to enter into a relationship with You. You do not beg us to be Yours, but You shine a light where darkness reigns. who is like You?

You have so much love, God. Your love is infinite and never changing. Your love comes with compassion and grace. You allow the impossible to happen. You make a way for the impossible to happen. at the beginning of the world, You made Your plan known. You made Your love and redemption known. at the same time You made Your wrath known. You decreed Your love to all and allowed those who came after to understand. You provided hope to a world in despair. You provided love to a world lost in hate. You provided truth to a world lost in lies.

how wonderful is the God who plans these things. how wonderful and mighty is He. my song rises to Him in the morning. my song rises to Him in the evening. my God is great and strong. He is more than any can boast. He is more than any can know. He is above all. He is all.

You are so cool, God. what wonder that You would choose to have a relationship with us. You choose to love that which has fallen. we have fallen so far from You, and still You love us. Still You reach out to us. we are so thankful. We love You. I love You.
